EnCourage Institute - Specialized instruction for all learners

Educational Therapy - Specialized Tutoring

At EnCourage Institute we have a variety of interventions available.
  • Basic tutoring for homework assistance
  • Specialized tutoring that addresses content and knowledge foundations
  • Educational Therapy for students with visual, auditory or executive function processing difficulties and other learning or developmental disabilities.

All learning interventions are one-on-one with a certified teacher.  Because each intervention program is custom designed to determine both skills needed and learning approach, it requires a Diagnostic Evaluation and can address any academic or learning need.

At the time of the diagnostic evaluation consultation Dr. Rozendal will present information to parents about the Institute teacher(s) she recommends, but parents will have the final decision about the teacher who works with their child.

Tutoring Rates are determined by level of tutor expertise and range from $45-$70/hour.

What is an Educational Therapist?

Educational therapists provide intensive, individualized educational interventions for children and adults with learning disabilities and other learning challenges such as dyslexia, ADHD, language processing problems, poor motivation, low academic self-esteem, performance anxiety and poor social, organizational, and/or study skills.  Clients may include students needing appropriate school placement or adults needing workplace support.

Educational therapists are well versed in formal and informal assessment as well as a wide range of learning methods and strategies.  They communicate with significant members of the client’s world, including family members, teachers, other professionals, and employers, for the purpose of developing an understanding of the client’s needs and appropriate ways to provide support.
